We are thrilled to announce our summer 2020 Social Innovation Intern, Jordyn Kafka!
Jordyn is a master’s student at the University of New Hampshire’s Carsey School of Public Policy. In 2019, she received her bachelor of arts degree from UNH in Communication: Business Applications. She is interested in strategic communications and public policy related to sustainability, social responsibility, and clean energy technology. She focused her graduate studies on expanding the application of solar energy, especially within low-income residential communities.
In collaboration with Eversource, Jordyn will be advancing our Business Sustainability Program this summer. She will be helping small businesses engage in energy-efficient practices by developing an online portal. This will include an informative landing page, e-learning resources, blogs, B-Corp information, and assessment tools. We look forward to working with Jordyn this summer, and extend a special thanks to Eversource and UNH’s Social Innovation Program for making this possible!
“Thank you so much to NH SBDC and Eversource for providing me with this opportunity! The Social Innovation Internship aligns perfectly with my graduate studies, policy interests, and career aspirations when it comes to sustainability. I look forward to helping small businesses focus on sustainability, and am pleased to work with a team that is also passionate about this work.” - Jordy
