LeAF

LeAF provides technical assistance under the State Small Business Credit Initiative Technical Assistance Grant Program (SSBCI TA Grant Program), including legal, accounting, and financial advisory services to small businesses in New Hampshire.

Who Can Benefit?

To qualify for LeAF, businesses must:

  • Be a Socially or Economically Disadvantaged (SEDI) business owner and/or a Very Small Business (VSB) with fewer than 10 employees.
  • Have applied to, or plan to apply for, a government-backed small business loan (e.g., SSBCI Capital Program, Business Finance Authority, Regional Development Corporations, and U.S. SBA guarantee loans).
  • Be an active NH SBDC client.

Why LeAF?

LeAF's goal is simple: To give NH SBDC clients access to expert advice that strengthens their business foundation - whether it's setting up the right legal structure, reviewing contracts, or making sense of financial statements. The State Small Business Credit Initiative Technical Assistance Grant Program (SSBCI TA Grant Program) makes this support possible at no cost to the client (or business).

“Businesses often try to skip using an attorney for tasks like reviewing a lease or contract. Anytime a business owner signs a legal document, it’s important to have it reviewed by an attorney. LeAF can help with that.”

“Looking at financial documents can be complicated, and getting a fresh perspective on what they’re telling you can be useful. LeAF connects you with a financial professional who can review and analyze the health of your business in addition to working with your SBDC advisor.”
