with NH SBDC’s Pathway to Micro program!
Entrepreneurship is an alternative to fulltime employment that can offer you independence and flexibility. Starting a small business may sound daunting, but SBDC has a team of business advisors and educational resources to help you get started.
The Pathway to Micro program offers unemployed or under-employed individuals the opportunity to launch a micro business (1-5 employees) of their own. Participants get confidential, highly individualized business assistance at no cost. Specialized education is offered through the Micro Business Collaborative.
Pathway to Micro Eligibility
- Unemployed individuals*.
- Under-employed individuals. People who are working part-time but want full-time employment or those with a job that does not fully use their existing skills, experience and education.

*If you are unemployed and receiving NH unemployment benefits, you may be eligible for Pathway to Work, a partnership program between SBDC and NH Employment Security.
